We are looking for an experienced finance professional who is passionate about the sports nutrition industry and also able to effectively lead within this scale and pace of change/business growth. Specifically, this role holder will have various leading responsibilities across forecasting, analysis and commercial support for the Glanbia Performance Nutrition business across EMEA.
Be a true Business Partner to the commercial teams, providing accurate and timely financial analysis of key commercial initiatives as well as providing joint business planning support: monthly market visits.
Proactively manage, control and approve all trade spend decisions across EMEA connecting with each budget holder across the region.
Develop a standardised approach to the creation of pricing proposals across commercial planning, build and approval stages.
Develop selling prices for new and existing products and services by evaluating cost information from internal or external sources to ensure cost estimates are developed accurately.
Attend and present pricing proposals at meetings with existing and new potential clients.
Ensure that pricing proposals are accurately informed by coordinating and constructively challenging cost inputs from various functions across the business.
Provide management with monthly analysis on business performance with commentary. Report on customer performance and provide insights.
Provide regular information packs including trend analysis, trade spend effectiveness and variance to plan supported with commentary.
Identify risks and opportunities as they arise through analysis of operating and financial trends and opportunities and develop alternatives for improvement and action.
Arrange and lead monthly territory performance reviews with local commercial teams, with objective of ensuring delivery of budget targets, identifying risks and opportunities and proposals for corrective actions.
Develop and maintain a detailed analysis and understanding of our cost base across our delivery locations.
Management of a detailed bottom up budget process to include input from all stakeholders, for presentation to Board for approval with commercial team.
Produce 3 to 5 yr financial plans including identifying and explaining key drivers / movements / assumptions and establishing key performance indicators.
Developing and improving forecasting systems and tools on an on-going basis. Initiate, own and manage financial models for initiatives that are used to set and measure key performance indicators across EMEA.
Liaising with US and Group colleagues to ensure that all the global division and group requirements are met.
Financial modelling and analysis as required.
Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support key business decisions.
Coach & develop direct reports.

Ability to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
Continually developing the financial modelling and analysis of the commercial business to ensure that it is providing accurate, relevant and insightful information that drives decision making.
Managing multiple priorities including forecasted workload as well as last minute reporting requirements.
Managing projects which require cross-functional and group participation in project teams.
Skills, knowledge and experience:
Degree in Finance, Business or similar as well as being a Qualified accountant – ACCA or CIMA with 7-10 years’ PQE in a FP&A role.
Leadership experience in a previous role is an advantage.
Demonstrated strong post qualification experience gained in a fast moving and dynamic business.
Experience of working with SAP and Business Objects (reporting tool) is required.
Strong attention to detail, analytical, good judgement making and logical decision maker.
Proven ability of dealing with ambiguity.
Excellent written and verbal communicator.
Ability to influence.
Proven track record of stakeholder management.
Experience of working directly within international markets and across multiple international markets and/or within an FMCG environment.
Experience in managing, motivating and influencing in an environment of rapidly changing workload, tight deadlines, in the context of high client expectations and tight time frames.
Frequent travel across Europe.
In depth knowledge of accounting and financial principles as well as technical accounting skills.
Will have worked previously in a commercial or commercial finance position
Travel: Approx 25%
