A dedicated and enthusiastic candidate is required with experience of project management and a track record of successful delivery of complex projects

The candidate will demonstrate:

Excellent track record in delivering customer projects to agreed scope, time, quality & cost

Ability to work effectively through influencing and motivating non-direct reports across organisational boundaries

Capability to deliver multiple projects concurrently through various teams and organisations

Ability to build a solid relationship with customers and to gain the customer's confidence

Confidence and balance in taking decisions in difficult situations

Motivation, discipline and tenacity to reach results

Ability to negotiate persuasively and to stimulate/motivate colleagues

Excellent presentation and communication skills

A university degree in relevant subject area, i.e Science Degree

An excellent candidate would ideally demonstrate:

Project or programme management qualification

Excellent project planning, cost management, risk management, resource planning and dependency management skills for efficient control of projects

Experience working with both commercial and public sector science/technology organisations

Understanding of electronics production/assembly

The role will primarily involve managing development and delivery of products, including managing the transition of technologies from research to commercial applications and establishing supply chains for new products

The successful candidate will also:

Ensure orders are delivered on time, to budget and to quality standards

Manage customer expectations

Oversee procurement and liaise with suppliers

Manage logistics

Maintain product database

As part of a small company, the role will contain variety and occasionally require work outside the above remit.
