An opportunity has arisen within our busy Theatre Department, to recruit to the above post. The successful applicant will be based within Main Theatres, covering Monday to Friday inclusive and will be responsible for ensuring that our theatre corridors, kitchen, and equipment is cleaned and maintained to a high standard as well as other duties. We pride ourselves within theatres to be meticulously clean and tidy and this role is vital to the smooth running of the department and essentially looks at maintaining a well organised and inviting environment for our patients, staff and visitors.Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to communicate effectively and be part of the theatre team by working with all staff in partnership with each other. You will contribute to the maintenance of a supportive, safe, and friendly environment for patients and all staff working within theatres.Working for our organisation
The post holder will have a flexible attitude to work and be able to work as part of a mulitdisciplinary team. Previous knowledge and experience is preferable of theatres but not essential as a comprehensive induction package and support network is in place to support the successful candidate.
Hours of work are 37.5hrs flexibly over 5 days from Monday to Friday and may consist of late evening workDetailed job description and main responsibilities

The prime purpose of this role is to improve the patient experience. Under the direction of the Theatre Matron and as an integral part of the theatre team the post holder will be responsible ensuring that the theatre environment and store rooms are clean and tidy, and that all equipment (particularly communal equipment) is clean and in good working order.
The role/duties of the post are outlined above. In undertaking this role, the employee will be expected to behave at all times in a way that is consistent with and actively supports the Trust’s values, which are:
Required to carry out a number of designated tasks, in support of and under the supervision of a member of theatre staff.
Work as an effective member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Following appropriate training and assessment, undertake non-clinical duties in support of the theatre practitioners.

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
