A leading advisory, tax and assurance firm is seeking a Forensic Accountant to join the global Insurance & Litigation team within Forensic Services in London or remotely.
As a Forensic Accountant, the assignments you will be responsible for:
Complete tasks with a minimum amount of supervision.
Conduct and perform forensic financial analyses, build models, maintain documents assist in report writing, and perform quality control procedures on schedules and reports
Discuss and outline problems/ issues with a manager or partner and then act on their advice
Carry out the quantification of claims on behalf of Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Lawyers, and others
Analyse data and financial / non-financial information and apply a forensic approach to the work
Prepare clear, concise reports which can be understood by non-accountants
Be flexible and responsive to client needs, being available for meetings at times and places stipulated by the client.
Direct staff, instructing them in work to be performed, reviewing their completed work, and directing any necessary revisions or actions
Determine engagement timelines, in conjunction with the engagement manager/ partner, and instruct assistants in time management methods allowing them to accomplish the companies’ objectives efficiently and effectively
Develop and maintain excellent client relationships
Team player who works well with juniors, peers, seniors, and all the other team members
Participate in business development efforts, including the development of presentations and proposals
Represent the business and community functions to maintain current, acquire new and expand existing client relationships
A Bachelor’s or master’s degree
A minimum of 3 years of public accounting or related experience
A record of progressively increasing knowledge, skill, responsibility, and independence
Experience in forensic accounting is strongly preferred
ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA qualified or equivalent
Computer skills and experience with accounting software, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Language skills would be beneficial
