Reporting to the Business Development Manager you will be an instrumental part of the UK Sales team. The placement role will include acquiring and qualifying new clients and increasing revenue. The Business Development Intern will receive valuable training and development from an experienced team of business professionals. During your placement, you will also have the opportunity to work on projects across the business, in areas such as Marketing Communications, EMEA Logistics, Information Systems, HR and Sales Analytics & Forecasting.
Expectations and responsibilities in this position:
Qualifications and Experience
Currently studying a Business-related degree and have successfully completed at least the first two years.
Genuine interest in working for a successful, dynamic Global company
Willingness to learn and be empowered to make a difference
Ability and robust use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.) As well as other Sales databases and systems.
Driven and a self-starter
Able to time manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Present work in a professional format and communicate openly
Some travel mainly within the UK may be required (fully expensed).
A thorough training programme will be created to guide & support the placement intern through the required competencies framework. Progress will be reviewed during quarterly 121’s with their line manager, whilst regular (1hr) weekly mentoring and coaching sessions will be arranged. The BDI will be encouraged to attend prescribed on-line training courses, the bi-weekly sales & applications call, UK Team Meetings and Classroom training as required.
