is a global children’s charity. We work to give every child the same chance in life. The Development Programmes Unit (DPU) is the hub for impactful long-term development programming in . DPU teams work in close collaboration with Plan International Country Offices to design high quality projects and to raise the funds from institutional donors needed to implement them. They oversee the management of grants and contracts awarded, ensuring quality delivery, effective programme monitoring and evaluation and donor compliance.
In this role, you will manage the effective delivery of a portfolio of defined projects by:
We are looking for someone with proven success managing sizeable development projects with institutional donors (DFID and/or EU experience essential), often at a distance, though occasional travel will be required. Ideally, you’ll have experience of child rights and gender equality programming, to ensure that projects are gender sensitive or transformative. You’ll have great skills in managing and developing complex relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, such as key project staff at Country Office level, institutional donor representatives and consortium partners.
