Quality Assurance Officer Jobs - UK
Part-time, Permanent

We are seeking to recruit for the following roles:

Quality Assurance Officers 1 x Full Time (36 hours per week) and 1 x Part time (16 hours a weekdays flexible) based at Guildford Police station.

The Role

A unique opportunity has arisen within our Quality Assurance Team for 2 Quality Assurance Officers. One role is a permanent 16 hours per week position (days flexible) and the other a permanent full time role of 36 hours per week. Your job role will be to improve the professional competence of all Officers and Staff who are tasked with conducting investigations. This will include providing quality assurance of investigative procedures and processes in order to ensure that best evidence is presented to the Crown Prosecution Service. Reviewing case file and ensuring that they meet the evidential criteria is also a main responsibility of the role.

We can provide flexibility on working hours.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of investigations and case files ensuring that adhere to the National Files Standards and are in line with the DDP’s Guidance on Charging.

To identify any common themes and training and development areas and highlight these to the QA DS.

To provide written and verbal feedback to officer and staff to assist learning.

Skills & Experience

It is essential that applicants have a sound knowledge and experience of criminal investigation and case file preparation. Individuals must also have knowledge skills and experience in investigation equivalent to PIP level 2, a good working knowledge of crime policies and procedures relating to volume crime, criminal law in relation to the management and preparation of case papers, as well as the criminal justice system.

You must also have knowledge of the DPP’s Guidance on Charging and National Files standards.

You will have highly effective communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team. This role requires a methodical approach to work, excellent communication and customer service skills and an ability to work to tight deadlines.
