The PCDA Route is an exciting opportunity for individuals of all backgrounds to obtain a degree whilst working and earning a full salary as a Student Police Officer.
The program, which is delivered in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University lasts for three years and includes classroom delivery, practical application and tutorship, your time will be varied between on the job training, academic modules, course work and exams.
Lessons will be delivered at Training venues at Mather Avenue in Liverpool and Lea Green in St Helens. There may also be some learning at Liverpool John Moores University sites in Liverpool.
To undertake the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) you will need to have achieved a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in Maths and English Language A*-C or 4-9 or equivalent.

Be over the age of 17 to apply – although we will be happy to take your application, you will not be placed in a post prior to your 18th birthday so please bear this in mind when applying as this could make your application process quite lengthy.
Have not had a Police Officer application turned down by ourselves, or another Force in the last 3 months.
Not be a member of an extreme political organisation such as BNP, Nation Front or Combat 18.
Not have any charge or summons currently outstanding against you.
Have not been sentenced to a custodial sentence.
Not been registered as a sex offender.
Not be currently registered as Bankrupt.
If you meet our initial sift criteria, you will be invited to complete an online assessment, this link will be issued to you by the College of Policing and you will have 7 days to complete. The results of this will be pass or fail and will determine if we can continue with your application. The dates the link to the test will be issued are listed below:
